Kampala Singles ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our dating service. By creating an account, you agree to the collection of the following:

Name	To create your account, display your profile to other users, and for account support.
Phone Number	To verify your account, secure login via OTP, prevent fake accounts, and for important service alerts.
Photo	To create your dating profile, allow other users to identify you, and for safety verification.
Date of Birth	To verify you are 18+ and to display your age on your profile.
Location	With your permission, to show you nearby singles and improve matching.
Gender	To set up your profile and provide relevant matches.
Interests	To improve matching and personalize your experience.
Audio Bio / Audio Note	Optional voice recording you upload to your profile.
Brief Description / Bio	Short text about yourself displayed on your profile.

Device & Technical Information

Device Model, Operating System, App Version
IP Address, Crash Logs, Diagnostics
Advertising ID (subject to your device settings)

How to Delete Your Account

You can permanently delete your Kampala Singles account at any time directly from the app.

Once deleted, your account cannot be recovered. You will need to create a new account if you wish to use Kampala Singles again.

Steps to Delete Your Account:

Login to the app with your phone number and OTP.
Go to your Profile screen (tap on your profile photo / icon at the bottom).
Tap on the three dots (⋮) at the top right corner of your profile.
Select "Delete Account" from the menu.
Confirm deletion in the pop-up. Tap "Yes, Delete".
Your account and all data will be permanently removed.

What Happens When You Delete Your Account?

When you delete your account, we permanently delete all your personal information from our servers within 30 days. This includes:

Phone Number	Your login phone number and verification data
Photo	All profile photos you uploaded
Name	Your display name
Date of Birth	Your DOB and calculated age
Location	Your last known location and distance data
Gender	Your gender information
Interest	All your selected interests
Audio Bio / Audio Note	Your voice bio recording
Brief Description	Your bio / about me text
Other Data	Likes, matches, views, favourites, chat history, and account settings

Note: Some data may be retained for up to 90 days only if required by law for fraud prevention, safety, or legal compliance, after which it is permanently anonymized or deleted. We do not retain your photos, audio bio, or phone number after deletion.

Need Help Deleting?

If you cannot access your account, email us at support@kampalasingles.com or privacy@kampalasingles.com from your registered phone number email with subject "Delete My Account" and we will delete it within 7 business days.

Terms & Conditions

By downloading, registering, or using Kampala Singles, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old.
You must provide truthful information including your real name, date of birth, and gender.
You must use your own identity, photographs, and voice.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining your account credentials and all activities under your account. Your phone number must be valid and belong to you.

Community Rules

You agree NOT to:

Create fake profiles or use someone else's photos/audio.
Harass or threaten users.
Share illegal, sexually explicit, or nude content in photos or audio bios.
Promote prostitution or escort services.
Commit scams, fraud, or request money from users.
Share child exploitation material.
Spread hate speech.
Upload malicious software.
Use bots or automated accounts.
Spam other users.
Upload audio bios containing hate, harassment, or someone else's voice without consent.

Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your information only as long as necessary to provide our services. You can delete your profile data at any time as described in How to Delete Your Account. Upon deletion, all data listed in that section is permanently deleted within 30 days.

Safety

Although we strive to create a safe environment, we cannot guarantee that every profile is genuine. Users should exercise caution when meeting others and should always meet in public places. Never send money to someone you met on the app.

Paid Features

Some premium features may require payment through Google Play Billing. Purchases are generally non-refundable unless required by law.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
